ImageInterview with Kurt Calleja (Malta 2012):  The people on the Maltese Islands were jumping up and down including the fans in the Crystal Arena in Baku when on the 24 May 2012 Malta was announced as the 9th qualifier for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012. The last time Malta was in the Final was with Chiara's third participation with the song "What if we" in Moscow back in 2009. This year Kurt Calleja and his team managed to put Malta back into the Grand Final with the song 'This is the night" reaching Number 21 with 41 points. The song was co-composed by Swedish composers. Lilian, Roger and JP met Kurt right after his first Press Conference in the Press Centre in Baku for a little chat and his connection to Sweden.

ImageInterview with Compact Disco (Hungary 2012):  Twice in a row Hungary qualified for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest after in 2011 Kati Wolf did it with a huge fan favourite called "What about my dream". Kati was part of the jury in Hungary selecting the Hungarian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 and she was very confident when Radio International interviewed her after the national final that Compact Disco was the right choice to send to Baku representing Hungary at the 57th Eurovision Song Contest. The song is called "The Sound of hour heart" received 19 points in the Grand Final placing Hungary at Number 24. Lilian, JP and Roger met two of Compact Disco for an interview in the Press Centre right after their first Press Confernce.

More interviews with the 2012 Eurostars will be on the next editions of Radio International. Watch out for them every Wednesday.

ImageInterview with Ralph Siegel (Germany 1982, San Marino 2012, etc): Also known as Mr. Eurovision - Ralph Siegel is one of the greatest songwriters and composers of our time as far as the German music market is concerned. Way over 2000 songs are registered under his name. His most successful song at the Eurovision Song Contest to date is "Ein bisschen Frieden" performed in 1982 by Nicole when Germany won the Eurovision Song Contest in Harrogate, United Kingdom. There were ups and downs in the career of Ralph Siegel but he is always there - in fact at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan he celebrated hsi 40th Anniversary in the music business and his song "Social Network Song" made it in the national selection process in San Marino thus the performer Valentina Monetta performed the song for San Marino during the Semi Final 1 of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 but failed to quality for the Grand Final. Lilian and JP had a great pleasure and huge honour to speak to Ralph Siegel. Listen to the interview in this week's edition of Radio International.
