Interview with Stella Mwangi (Norway 2011): The Euroclub Dance Anthem "Haba Haba" from Norway was performed by the lovely Stella Mwangi attempting to obtain a place in the Grand Final of the 56th Eurovision Song Contest. Unfortunately, however, it was not meant to be for Norway this year and the song ended up at Number 17 in Semi Final 1 with just 30 points. Eric and JP had the pleasure to meet the singer during the rehearsals and had a little interview with the singer right after her Press Conference. Enjoy the charme of Stella Mwangi on Radio International this week. Haba Haba!!! :)
Interview with Debbie Scerri (Malta 1997): Just some 14 years
after Debbie Scerri represented Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest
1997 in the Point Theater of Dublin, Ireland with the song "Let me fly"
reaching Number 9, she returned to the Eurovision Song Contest but not
as a singer but as supporter to the 2011 Maltese entry by Glen Vella ("One Life").
JP and Eric met the Maltese supporters and the former Eurovision
perfomer on the way into the Esprit Arena - the Home of the 56th
Eurovision Song Contest and had the plesure of an interview.
Interview with Glen Vella (Malta 2011): Glen Vella enjoyed his experience being at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 and representing his native Malta with the song "One Life"
which unfortunately, though, failed the qualify to the Grand Final of
the 56th Eurovision Song Contest by just one single point. Glen being a
great singer and also a friend of Radio International was interviewed by
Eric, Lilian and JP right after his Press Conference. Then he was
interviewed again as JP & Eric met the singer while walking into the
Esprit Arena for Semi Final 2 as a spectator to find out about the
reactions to not qualifying for the Grand Final. Listen to both
interviews this week on the show and much more.
This interview coincides with the brand new release of Glen Vella's latest offering to his fans on the island of Malta and beyond. "Ain't nobody"
which initially was a Top Ten hit in the UK Charts in 1984 and 1989 by
Rufus & Chaka Khan has just been finished recording and Radio
International is proud to be able to play the song as a premier on the
radio this week. You can also listen to the song by clicking here.
