ImageInterview with Blue (United Kingdom 2011):  The UK's band Blue was selected by the BBC to represent the United Kingdom at the 56th Eurovision Song Contest. A huge string of hits in the early 2000s such as "All Rise", "Too Close" and a collaboration with Elton John "Sorry seems to be the hardest word" just to mention a few. At the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 Blue performed "I can" which reached a remarkable Number 11 in the contest. JP interviewed the group already at the Maltese National Final but this is a little update interview done with the lovely Swedish colleague of Radio International Helena. Enjoy this interview this week on Radio International.

ImageInterview with Sjonn's Friends (Iceland 2011):  Due to rather sad circumstances Sjonni's Friends represented Iceland at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Coming Home" which was written by Sjonni Brinck and was meant to be his song he wanted to compete with at the national final in Iceland for the 2011. However, tragically, he had a brain aneurysm and died within three minutes at a rather young age of just 37 on 11 January 2011. His friends and wife decided to take to song to the national final of Iceland and they won it, thus representing Iceland at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Duesseldorf. The song sucessfully qualified Iceland for the Grand Final where they ended up at Number 20 with 61 points. Eric & JP interviewed Sjonni's Friends right after their Press Conference.

ImageInterview with Yueksek Sadakat (Turkey 2011):   Probably the biggest shock for many fans to the Eurovision Song Contest and a first time ever that Turkey is not in the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Turkey was represented by a rockband called Yueksek Sadakat and their song is called "Live it up" which only reach Number 14 with 47 poins in the Semi Final 1. However, a great live band as it could be seen in the Euroclub when Yueksek Sadakat were the hosts of the evening. The Team of Radio International has the pleasure to meet and interview the Turkish Rockers in the Netherlands at Eurovision in Concert 2011. Listen to that interview during this week's edition of the show. Please note that this interview was scheduled to be broadcast last week on the show but due to time constraints we hope to air this interview on this week's edition of Radio International.

ImageMysterious Eurovision Performer Quiz:  Chris Poppe returns this week with the favourite quiz where he has wrapped three Eurovision performers in musical and verbal clues for the listeners and viewers to guess during the show. Enjoy this guessing time!
