Eurovision Song Contest. Over the next weeks you will hear these
interviews on Radio International and some stories from the Eurovision
Song Contest 2011. Way over 35000 spectators in the Esprit Arena
followed Europe's biggest music extravaganza uniting countries from all
around Europe and beyond in one single TV Show - The Eurovision Song
Contest. NDR & ARD Television were the Host Broadcaster doing an
outstanding job in getting the show transmitted to the many million
viewers around the world. Also many former Eurovision performers visited
the Media Centre in Duesseldorf which was a great plus as well. Artists
such as former winners Alexander Rybak and the Olson Brothers and of
course not to be forgotten, the Emperor of Eurovision - Mr. Johnny

came 5th in the competition with a 134 points. Prior to the 56th
Eurovision Song Contest Radio International already interviewed the lead

have the entire band in front of the microphone. Enjoy listening to the
interview.
Interview with Kati Wolf (Hungary 2011): Hungary's return to the Eurovision Song Contest was in 2011 with Kati Wolf and the great MTV produced song "What about my dreams"
which successfully qualified the country for the Grand Final of the
2011 Eurovision Song Contest. Kati also was classed as a great fan
favourite to win the song contest, however, only reached Number 22 in
the Grand Final. This week Radio International will broadcast two
interviews with Kati -one done before the Semi Final and the other one
after the Winners' Press Conference.
Interview with Getter Jaani (Estonia 2011): Estonia was represented at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest by the young Getter Jaani and her team of backing vocalists and dancers. Their entry is called "Rockefeller Street"
and manged to successfully qualify Estonia for the Grand Final but then
only came 24th with 44 points. Before the Semi Final the Team of Radio
International met the group for a little interview.
Interview with Aurela Gace (Albania 2011): Albania was
represented at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest by the charming Aurela
Gace who, however, sad to say so, did not manage to qualify her country
Albania to the Grand Final. Her song "Feel the Passion" only reached 47
points in Semi Final 1, thus ranking Albani 13th.
