Ben Morris Fan T-Shirts and Posters: On the show this week Radio International has been approached by  Ben Morris who is huge Eurovision fan and has designed each 2011 Eurovision entrant  as an icon of which you see an example leading this paragraph. T-Shirts are available with the icon you select for just £15 including postage and packing. Please state the size you want S, M, L, XL and the colur either in light blue or white. The posters are available for £ 5.50 including postage and packing. If you are ordering from outside Europe then please add £2 to your order. Interview with Hotel FM (Romania 2010):  The Easter Weekend was a weekend where in Belgium a Eurovision Promotion Event took place where Hotel FM from Romania also took part. It started with a common dinner on Friday evening in Gent after which a performance was scheduled in a local club full of Eurovision Fans. Saturday noon was a reception in the Gent Town Hall by the Mayor who received the artists from Romania, Slovakia, Latvia and Belgium and also the national and international media. After the welcome speech of the Mayor there was time to conduct interviews with the artsts. Listen to the Hotel FM Interview . Hotel FM  willl represent Romania at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Semi Final 1 with the song "Change". 

 

Interview with Musiqq (Latvia 2011):  Musiqq were also part of the  Eurovision Promotion Event in Belgium on the Easter weekend. After the interview session in the Town Hall was finished the artists and media continued with a short walking tour through the beautiful city of Gent which was followed by a boat trip to get to know the city even more. Musiqq are Emils and Marats and will represent Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Semi Final 2 with the song "Angel in Disguise".

 

Interview with the TWiiNS (Slovakia 2011): And last but not least the fourth delegation at the Promotion Event weekend in Belgium were the TWiiNS from Slovakia. The twin sisters Daniela & Veronica Nízlová were preciously at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008 when it was staged in Belgrade. At that time they were part of the Czech entry with Tereza Kerndlova singing "Have some fun". However, in 2011 the TWiiNS this year will be representing Slovakia at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Semi Final 2 with the song "I'm still alive". Interview with Loucas Yiorkas & Stereo Mike (Greece 2011):  The Teams of Radio International and Oikotimes.com met the Greek representatives at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Eurovision in Concert 2011 earlier on in April in Amsterdam and had the pleasure to conduct an interview with Loucas Yiorkas & Stereo Mike who will be representing Greece in Semi Final 1 as Song Number 19 with the song "Watch my dance". Interview with Paradise Oscar (Finland 2011):  At the recent Eurovision in Concert 2011 in Amsterdam, Radio International's Alasdair Rendall met and interviewed the Finnish hopeful at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest - Paradise Oscar. The singer will perform "Da Da Dam" representing Finland in Semi Final 1, Song Number 10. Find out more about the singer by listening to this interview.

 

Interview with Witloof Bay (Belgium 2011): Two members of Witloof Bay  (Nicolas Dorian and Roxorloop) represented the group in the Town Hall of Gent at the Welcome Reception and later showed the international delegations and the media the city of Gent. After the cultural part of the event the artists and media went to a television studio where the artists were interviewed. Radio International took the chance and interviewed Witloof Bay who are representing Belgium at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Semi Final 2 with the song "With love baby". 

It's been a packed show this week that we did not have time to fit in all the planned interviews Radio International had lined up. The Belgium Interview is one of them. We do apologize and will broadcast more interviews after the Eurovision Song Contest on 18 May 2011. 

 

Eurovision Song Contest - In the Spotlight: Dermot's thoughts on Eurovision 2011:  Dermot Manning looks ahead to the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest from the Irish point of view and gives us his prediction. He will play some of the highlights he thinks will be at Eurovision 2011.

  

Eurovision Song Contest News:  Luke Fisher joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest. Whether it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special concerts, gossip, etc Luke will have it all for us during the weekly edition of Radio International. A special item this week is that Luke will take a look at the summarized Eurovision News Websites Polls to tell us what the fans think will be going into the Top Ten of each Semi Final.
