Interview with Linda Bengzting (Sweden Preselection 2011): Last
weekend 12 countries selected their entry to the 2011 Eurovision Song
Contest and some countries had their national Semi Final like in Sweden.
It was the fourth Semi Final which was staged in Malmö in Sweden and
our rowing reporter Lilian Brunell has been working hard to conduct
interviews there which you will hear during the week's edition of Radio
International. Linda Bengtzing is amongst the two winning acts to
go straight into the Melodifestivalen 2011 Final on 12 March 2011 in
the Globen in Stockholm. Her song is called "E de fel på mej". Good luck Linda.
Interview with Nicke Borg (Sweden Preselection 2011): The second act to proceed to the Melodifestivalen Final 2011 in Stockholm on 12 March 2011 is Nicke Borg with the song "Leaving home".
Lilian Brunell has also been interviewing the singer. The four Semi
Finals are done. Next weekend there will be the Second Chance round in

Interview with Alexander Bard of BWO: Lilian Brunell also met and interviewed Alexander Bard who is normally part of BWO responsible for many great songs such as "Let there be sunshine in the rain"and "Lay your love on me"
just to mention a couple of the many hits they had. This time Alexander
Bard is part of Melodifestivalen 2011 Semi Final 4 as composer for the
entry of Lasse Stefanz "En blick och nånting händer".
Unfortunately, on Saturday the song did not make it into Final of
Melodifestivalen 2011. But listen to the interview with Lilian and
Alexander.
Interview with the Hosts of Melodifestivalen 2011 - Marie Serneholt and Rickard Olsson: Our busy bee Lilian has also crossed the way of the hosts of this year's Melodifestivalen "roadshow" - Marie Serneholt and Rickard Olsson
who have been hosting the Semi Finals and will also host the Grand
Final on 12 March 2011 when the show will be in Stockholm's Globen which
was the home of the 2000 Eurovision Song Contest. Marie and Rickard
will be joined by Elsa Billgren. Listen to a short interview Lilian did
with the hosts. Due to the busy programme this interview has been moved to next week's edition of Radio International. We do apologize the inconvenience.
Euro Friend Song Contest 2011 - Voting Result of the Fourth Quarterfinal: Radio
International in collaboration with the Euro Friends Song Contest are
in search for the ultimate Eurovision song and will be announcing during
the show this week the ten qualifiers of the fourth quarterfinal which
will go through to the Semi Finals. During the past week international
juries have been voting for the first lot of songs on the Face Book Page
of the Euro Friends Song Contest. Prime Organiser of this event based
on the Eurovision Song Contest, Andy Simon joins the team in the studio
to reveal the results. You too can be part of the international jury by

Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight: National Finals: The national
selection season well underway and on a weekly basis Radio International
will assess the songs with a panel of Eurovision experts. This week
Radio International takes a look at the songs for the 2011 Eurovision
Song Contest from Austria, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, FYR Macedonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey and Ukraine. They decided on the weekend and Greece is deciding during this week's edition of the show. For that Dermot Manning will join the team in the studio in two parts :).
National Selection in Greece: Radio International plans three
live links to the ERT studio in Athens where Fotis Konstantopoulos will
be reporting on the selection process and the show itself. Hopefully, by
the end of the evening Radio International should be able to also
introduce to you the song that will represent Greece at the 2011
Eurovision Song Contest in Duesseldorf come May. Who will follow the
footsteps of Giorgos Alkaios and Friends - OPA! :)

Fisher joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
