Eurovision Interview with Richard Edwards (Malta Preselection 2011): Last
we Radio International had the pleasure of having Glen Vella live on
the show. Glen is the winner of the Maltese National Selection and with
the will represent Malta at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest come May in
Semi Final 1. This week however, Radio International will broadcast an
interview with the runner-up of the Maltese National Selection - Richard Edwards. JP had the pleasure to interview the singer during the rehearsals who song "Finally"
was the last song in the Semi Final and managed to sore right up to
Number 2 in the Final. It was a Head-to-Head race between Richard and
Glen until the last remaining vote of Riccardo Cocciante decided as Head
of Jury in favour of Glen Vella for Duesseldorf.
Interview with Claas Triebel, co-author of "Ein bisschen Wahnsinn": OGAE Germany had their annual convention last January and also invited two of the three authors of the book "Ein bisschen Wahnsinn".
This book is a rather special one as it features many statistics and
rarities observed at the Eurovision Song Contest such as "the longest
and the shortest songs", "male and female performers", "close to
victory", "white suits", "barefeet performances", "famous nill point",
"most patient countries to victory", "languages used", "glowes", etc
This week Radio International has the pleasure to welcome Claas Triebel
to the show to find out more about this book and what made them write
it. The book is published by Kunstmann in Germany. More information will
be available during the interview.
Euro Friend Song Contest 2011 - Start Voting for the Fourth Quarterfinal:
Radio International in collaboration with the Euro Friends Song Contest
are in search for the ultimate Eurovision song. The Voting Windows is
open from now until next Sunday evening. You too can be member of an
international Jury. All you have to do is to contact Andy on the Face
Book Page of the Euro Friends Song Contest. He will get back to you to
inform what you have to do in order to vote. Next week Radio
International and Andy from the Euro Friends Song Contest will reveal
the ten qualifiers of the Fourth Quarterfinal during the show. Join to

Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight: National Finals: The national
selection season well underway and on a weekly basis Radio International
will assess the songs with a panel of Eurovision experts. This week
Radio International continues to take a look at the songs for the 2011
Eurovision Song Contest from Bosnia & Herzegovina, Georgia, Germany, Italy and Spain. They decided on the weekend and Bulgaria is
deciding during this week's edition of the show and Radio International
tries to be on the ball to bring you the song as soon as it has been
announced. Of course, there were many national Semi Finals, Second
Chance rounds and Heats we take a look at. For that Alasdair Rendall joins the team in the studio.
Eurovision Song Contest News: Luke
Fisher joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news
and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest.
Whether it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special
concerts, gossip, etc Luke will have it all for us during the weekly
