Eurovision meets South Africa - Interview with Jasmyn Lombard: To
continue our series of interviews with South African artists who also
cover songs of the Eurovision Song Contest in the Africaans language.
This week the Team of Radio International is honoured to have Jasmyn Lombard
as guest on the show joining us live from South Africa to talk about
herself, her music, her career. and what is her link to the Eurovision
Song Contest. Listeners are encouraged to send in their questions to

OGAE Germany's annual convention - Interview with the Organiser: OGAE
Germany have announced their annual convention to take place on
Saturday, 22 January 2011 in Munich, Germany in Wirtshaus zum Isartal,
with the participation of four Eurovision performers including one
winner: Niamh Kavanagh who won in 1993 for Ireland with "In your eyes" and she also represented Ireland at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest with "It's for you". Also on the guest list is Josh Dubovie who represented the United Kingdom in 2010 with the song "That sounds good to me", Jalisse who was the last Italian entry in 1997 with "Fiumi di Parole" and last but not least Marty Brem who represented Austria in the 1980 Eurovision Song Contest as part of Blue Danube with the song "Du bist Musik" and as a soloist in 1981with "Wenn DU da bist". Already this week Radio International is joined by Head of Public Relations: Frank Albers who will be telling us all about this event. For more details on Germany's OGAE go to the website.
Euro Friend Song Contest 2010 - Start Voting Now, the Quarterfinals:
Radio International in collaboration with the Euro Friends Song Contest
are in search for the ultimate Eurovision song. Over the past few month
there were 12 Heats in which fans voted for their favourite Eurovision
entry. The over 1100 Eurovision Song Contest entries have been
narrowed down to a bit over 100 which will now compete in the
Quarterfinals. You can actively be part of the international jury by
contacting Andy Simon who is the prime organiser of this event. You also
can contact Andy on this link
which takes you to the Face Book Page of the Event. Remember, you have
to be a member of this Facebook group in order to join the voting or
consult the brand new website.
The Three Mysterious Eurovision Performers - Quiz with Chris Poppe:
There was no national final last weekend to select their countries
entry to the Eurovision Song Contest which gives the opportunity to
Chris Poppe to get your brain cells going when he runs his popular quiz.
Chris has wrapped in verbal and musical clues three Eurovision Song
Contest performers for the listeners to guess. Of course, you can win
something in taking part in this during the show and tell us as soon as
you know who Chris has wrapped in his clues about the artist(s). For those of you who could not listen to the live show - the Quiz is still open until next week Tuesday midnight (18 Jan 2011).
