ImageEurovision Interview with Chiara (Malta 1998, 2005, 2009) and Nimah Kavanagh (Ireland 2010 & Winner 1993): Romania selected their entry to the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest on 31 December 2010. The show was broadcast for five hours and as a special treat star guests such as Johnny Logan who won twice the Eurovision Song Contest as singer (1980 & 1987) and as composer in 1992 when Linda Martin performed "Why me". And Malta's cleanest voice: Chiara who performed her best achivement at the Eurovision Song Contest to date - the great "Angel" which took Malta to Number 2 in 2005. Also Ireland's 1993 winner Niamh Kavanagh was there. However, Niamh performed her 2010 Eurovision entry "It's for you". At the soundcheck for Romanian National Final there was an opportunity for interview the two ladies together with Romanian journalists. Hear this interview during this week's edition of Radio International. But not only this as during the national final Chiara, Niamh Kavanagh, Paula Seling & Ovi performed their version "Happy New Year"  which will open up this year's first edition of Radio International. 
 
ImageEurovision Interview with Hotel FM (Romania 2011): Romania selected their representative for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest on New Year's Eve 2010. Hotel FM was selected by Televoters and Jury during the national Final which will be representing Romania at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Duesseldorf, Germany next May with the song "Change". David, the leadsinger was interviewed by JP on the stage right after the winning performance on Romanian TV. Congratulations! Click here to see a series of photos.
 
ImageEuro Friend Song Contest 2010 - Introduction of the Quarterfinals: Radio International in collaboration with the Euro Friends Song Contest are in search for the ultimate Eurovision song. Over the past few month there were 12 Heats in which fans voted for their favourite  Eurovision entry.  The over 1100 Eurovision Song Contest entries have been narrowed down to a bit over 100 which will now compete in the Quarterfinals.  During this week's edition of Radio International Andy Simon will join the team in the studio to explain how to continue. But you also can contact Andy on this link which takes you to the Face Book Page of the Event. Remember, you have to be a member in order to join the voting. ImageEurovision Song Contest Spotlight: National Finals: The national selection season has started and on a weekly basis Radio International will assess the songs with a panel of Eurovision experts - the listeners via the oikotimes.tv chat. This week it is the start with the already selected songs  for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest from Switzerland, Albania and Romania. For that Dermot Manning will join the team in the studio.
