Dutch National Selection to the Eurovision Song Contest: Rene Romkes joins us this week. He will explain to us the Dutch National Selection process which will be held this Sunday, 07 February 2010. Pierre Kartner alias Father Abraham who was responsible for the Smurf Song in 1978 wrote the song "Ik Ben Verliefd, Sha-la-li" to represent the Netherlands at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. The following artists will be competing for the ticket to Oslo: Sieneke, Vinzzent, Marlous Oosting, Peggy Mays and LOEKS (consisting of Dessa, Elske, Merel, Martine and Jezebe).

www.eurosong.be we aired an interview that was recently done with Shiri Maimon
who came to Antwerp in Belgium to give a concert to the Jewish
community there. Shiri represented Israel at the 2005 Eurovision Song
Contest in Kiew, Ukraine with the nice "HaSheket SheNish'ar (Time to Say Goodbye)"
reaching Number 4. Listen to the interview during this weeks edition of

Radio International meets Eurovision Database.co.uk:
The third hour of this week's Radio International is devoted to the
pioneers of Eurovision website reporting as Radio International has the
pleasure to speak to Geoff Harrisson and Ian Fowl. Geoff was one of the
first Eurovision News reporters using the Internet. He set up the
website called www.eurovisiondatabase.co.uk
and it is still available. Travel back to the first days of Eurovision
news reporting. In the show listen to Geoff telling us about his
experience when he was journalist at the Eurovision Song Contest back

Eurovision Song Contest Spotlight - National Finals: Our
regular
Eurovision Spot with our correspondents Marcus, Ross, Chris and
Alasdair. For the next few weeks we take a
look at the national selection processes in the Eurovision countries.
Week by week we will check out the entries of various countries that
have qualified in their national finals and give you a taster by
playing the clip. Soon we know which songs have been selected by juries
and
televoters representing their country at the Eurovision Song Contest
2010 in Oslo. This week Alasdair Rendall takes a look at the
Eurovision pre-selections so far.
