Show 05 August 2009 (Malta Special) |
Eurovision Song Contest with Radio International.
This week we have the great honour and pleasure to welcome live to the studio of Radio International - Thea Saliba
from the sunny country of Malta. Thea represented Malta at the junior
edition of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest when it came from Hasselt in Belgium and very soon she would like to
represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest. Thea was accompanied by Malta's "Minister of Tourism and Culture" - Mona Lisa :) and during the show she informs the listeners about the beautiful country and what is worth to see and do on the islands. Also your chance to enjoy this unique accent.
Due
to Thea's visit to Radio International we made it a Malta
Special. The Theme is Malta throughout the three hours with lots of
great music from the island and some nice reports about Malta for you.
Throughout the show Thea is in interview with us and singing some
of her songs from her growing reportoire. A large number of listeners and fans of Thea from all around Europe contacted us live during the show and asking questions to Thea or passing messages. For all of us it was a truly unique experience and the Team of Radio International wishes Thea all the best for her professional future. For further information about Thea you can visit her MySpace website by clicking here. Alternatively, become her friend on the great Face Book. Thea also can be heard and seen on The English Breakfast Show in Amsterdam where she was invited to co-host the show. (Search for 06 August 2009 in their Show Archive and select 07-08 hours and 08-09 hours broadcast in the Show Archive). Studio Guest and Thea's second biggest fan in the Netherlands (Number 1 fan is JP:) ) Harry Bahnen who also came to the studio of Radio International has created a Dutch Thea Fan Club Page which you can visit by clicking here. Here are the photos from Thea's visit to the Netherlands - simply click here to watch them and even better pics from Eric Wille who joined us in the studio.
