Radio International was in Malta for the Malta Eurosong 2009 which is Malta's national selection to represent the country at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow, Russia on 12, 14 & 16 May 2009. Chiara won in Malta and represents with the song "What if we". While being in Malta going backstage and interviewing - JP together with Eric Lehmann from OGAE Luxembourg and Rene Romkes from esctoday.com had the big pleasure to meet Chiara just before she went on stage to sing her entry for 2009.

And it does not stop there as the team of Radio International  crossed Chiara's way a few more times. Chiara was invited together with 22 other 2009 Eurovision performers to sing her 2009 Eurovision entry  "What if we" at the Dutch preview event in Amsterdam 18 April 2009. JP from Radio International and Edward Montebello from www.escmalta.com interviewed Chiara in view of the upcoming journey to Moscow. And last but not least Radio International's JP and Eric Lehmann met Chiara again in Press Centre of Moscow's Olympic Indoor Arena- the venue for the 54th Eurovision Song Contest. Chiara did qualify her country Malta for the Grand Final where she received a total of 31 points ranking Malta at Number 22 of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest.
