The Eurovision Club Germany (EC Germany) had their annual convention on 15 November 2008 in Cologne’s Gloria Theatre. Invited as special guest was Geir Roenning who represented Finland at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev, Ukraine.  Unfortunately, his  song “Why” did not manage to qualify for the Grand Final.
