Radio International goes to Sweden |
(17 September 2008) This week once again we go to Sweden where there was a big Eurovision Open Air Show organised at the end of July 2008. A large number of Eurovision artists made a comeback and performed their Eurovision Song Contest entry on stage. Amongst the line up were also some Swedish artists that emerged from the Melodiefestivalen over the years. Radio International had the pleasure to meet some of these artists for an interview. We will make these interviews available over the next few weeks in the this radio show. In this first edition of the series we talked to Carola Becker who is a growing artist in Sweden. Then we interviewed Stefan Eriksson who is the organiser of the Eurovision Gala which was scheduled to take place on 29 November 2008 but has been postponed to June 2009 in Stockholm, Sweden. And last but not least we had the great pleasure to interview Mans Zelmerloew whose hit " Cara Mia" ranked third in the 2007
Melodifestivalen. However, the song also became the winner of the OGAE
Second Chance Song Contest organised by the Eurovision Fan Clubs around
Europe. All this is spiced with the best of Eurovision music.
At this point we would like to thank Eric Lehmann from OGAE Luxembourg for lending us his voice in conducting the above interviews. So enjoy.
